As the big dog in enterprise applications and a relative newbie to platforms, SAP hasn’t always been the most responsive to smaller developers. But in mobility, it’s taking pains to change that. There are very few tweeting, blogging, marketing, and communicating via social media channels who don’t believe the customer experience through social channels is here to stay. Increasingly, however, the character traits of tweets on twitter get worn in, worn down and they begin to evolve into something fresh and new. The volume of tweets put out by the audience listening to the keynote sessions at the SAP Influencer summit was so large, it was impossible to read them as the shot down the columns of  Tweetdeck.  The majority were entirely positive impressed at what they heard and saw of the three major planks of SAP product strategy - On Demand, On Device and In Memory. Being mostly hard-nosed analysts (is there any other type?) there were some tweets that suggested reservations about the need to deploy SAP HANA to provide real-time analytics and reporting in all situations – the debate about ‘real-time’ or ‘right-time.’ (more…)

Around 130 influencers gathered to get first hand information from our SAP executives regarding the core, SAP HANA (in-memory), mobility and cloud strategies. At the SAP Influencer Summit on Tuesday, the company touted its mobile milestones and achievements for 2011, while promising major upgrades and improvements to its mobile software. When you think of Greeley, Colorado you might think of the noted author James Michener who studied and lived here for several years in the 1930s. While not as tropical as the South Pacific, Greeley is certainly a hot spot for agri-business and the animal health industry since it is home base for Animal Health International (AHI), formerly Lextron, a premier producer and distributor of animal health and feed products.
