I just came back to the U.S. from leading the content workstream for China SAPPHIRE NOW, where I was on the ground for more than three months. Now that I am back home in Palo Alto, every day, several times a day, folks are asking me “How was China? On November 15, SAP opened China SAPPHIRE NOW + SAP TechEd Beijing, the largest IT event in China. More than 50,000 people participated in the event, including a two-day in-person total of 15,000 attendees. BEIJING — SAP today announced multi-year spending plans of more than US$2 billion through 2015 to grow its business in China. The company intends to deepen its investment in this key global market in order to further underscore its long-term strategic commitment to the world’s second-largest economy.
